Menivax Vaccine
Composition and Form:
- Menivax Vaccine contains meningococcal polysaccharide antigens of groups A, C, Y, and W-135.
- Lyophilized powder for solution for injection - 0.5 ml/dose
Indications:
- Prevention of meningococcal infection caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135.
Age Recommendations and Vaccination Schedule:
- First Dose: Recommended for children over 2 years of age and adults.
- Subsequent Doses: Revaccination is done every 3-5 years, depending on the epidemiological situation and risk of infection.
Administration Method:
- The vaccine is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
- For infants and young children, it is recommended to inject the vaccine into the anterolateral thigh.
- For older children and adults, the vaccine is injected into the deltoid muscle of the arm.
Contraindications:
- Allergic reactions to vaccine components.
- Acute infectious or non-infectious diseases (vaccination is carried out after recovery or during remission of chronic diseases).
